Some web pages are not shown correctly? Why?

By default the software blocks some keywords found in the web pages, that could be dangerous or unwanted. This features is really useful because it keeps your Pc away from unpleasant surprise like ambiguous scripts and intrusive advertisment. But if you don’t want care about it and you want to see all, you can disable this function clicking on Setting – Web Control – Ads and Sites – Adv Blocking – Setting – and uncheck the box “Use Optimanet ads keywords list”. Then click OK.
 

The AntiSpam doesn’t works! I’m still receiving spam!

In order to make the AntiSpam immediately efficient, it must be trained (used). To make this there are two methods. The first one consists in manually sign what is Spam and what it is not, clicking on the appropriate buttons. The second one, is that you select a folder already containing Spam messages. In order to make this click on Defenx Antispam button > Train> and selects the folder where only Spam is present. In this way the software will delete automatically all future Spam messages.
 

The message "compatibility mode" appear.

If during (or after) the installation process the message " Anti-Malware disabled - Compatibility Mode - appear, it may necessary to remove completely the previous Antivirus or Internet Security installed on your PC. Even If it's apparently unistalled, the previous software may left some files on your system.

During the Malware scan this message appear " Failed to unpack the object...". Why?

This happen because some Windows file system are protected by Microsoft. So Defenx will not scan this kind of file for malware but in the same time these files can't be dangerous for the system because already protected.

 

Some e-mail attached file are renamed with the .amw extension. Why?

The e-mail filter is active on the e-mail attached files. For disable it you have to go on Setting > Antimalware > Mail Scanner > and in the Filter window selects Disable Attachment Filter. In this way no attached files will be controlled. We advise you to not disabled completely the Filter on the Attachment but to exclude some types of extensions that you receive habitually. In order to make this you must click on Setting > Antimalware > Mail Scanner > Extensions and then specify which types of extensions must be controlled and which not.
 

I’ve bought the software, but when I try to insert the code into the software, this message appear: “Invalid Key”. Why?

Because you have to obtain the correct Key to insert into the software. You have to go here http://www.defenx.com/?page_id=326 first. Then you can insert the code ( 25 characters), your name and your e-mail address. You will receive a “counter code” then you can “copy” and “past” into the software itself. ( Register window). This procedure identify you as unique buyer and help us to avoid piracy and code abuse.
 

Defenx I uninstalled from the Control Panel of Windows. I'm sure you have deleted all files in the software?

In 99% of cases Defenx software and all its components are fully eliminated in the normal uninstall process.

If not, please follow these steps:

1) Start Windows in Safe Mode with F8 (http://windows.microsoft.com/it-IT/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode)

2) Run the file in the folder CLEAN.EXE software installation Defenx (usually located in C: / Program Files / Defenx) and wait for the automatic restart of the PC.

 

I’ve received the “counter code”. Where I have to insert it?

Right Click on Defenx icon (near the Windows system clock) and select REGISTER. Here you can insert the “counter code” and to press OK. This is a “very long” code so we suggest you to “COPY” and “PASTE” it. In order to make this you must simply select all the code from beginning to end, then a right click over the code and select “COPY”. Go in the Register window into the software and then right click in the empty white space and select “PASTE”. Press OK. This procedure identify you as unique buyer and help us to avoid piracy and code abuse.
 

I’ve got a 64-bit system. Why I can’t install the software?

Automatically the autorun start the 32-bit version.You can run the 64-bit version manually opening the CD-ROM folder and select the 64-bit version.
 

My favourite software doens’t works anymore!!!

Calm yourself! You have to go in Setting – Application Rules – find and click your favourite software from the list – Modify – then select Allow Activity. That all! We suggest you to use this setting only for software that you trust.

Sometimes the Defenx icon became like 2 circular arrows in motion. What does it means?

The software is in updating mode. Automatically the software checks if there are new update every hour. In order to change this configuration click on Setting > Update > and to select an option from the window.
